Downloaded video has no sound? Check these three things

Check the original first

Play the source video and confirm that it actually contains sound. Some posts are silent or have audio removed by the platform. A downloader cannot reconstruct an audio track that was not available.

Let merging finish

Some sources supply video and audio separately. The LinkToKeep job must finish processing before the final file is ready. Wait for Ready and use Save file instead of saving a preview. A processing failure should be reported with the original URL.

Check your player and file

Confirm that the download completed, the player is not muted and the intended audio track is selected. MP4 and MKV are containers; your player also needs to support the tracks inside. Try a compatible local player on a file you have permission to use. Renaming MKV to MP4 is not a conversion.

Choose the right next step

If the original is silent, obtain the audio from the owner. If the file is incomplete, download the completed result again before expiry. If the source has sound but the completed file does not, keep the source URL and format choice when describing the problem.
