How the two services differ on platforms, languages, where media is served from, and what each publishes about retention.
What Vidssave shows on its site
Vidssave lists eight platforms in its navigation, with several keyword variants each, and links 23 language versions. Its homepage displays the line "Privacy-First by Design" alongside "Processing happens locally, with no data storage."
What we observed
Submitting a YouTube link sent it to api.vidssave.com, and the media URLs returned in the response were on that same host. The bytes therefore travel through their infrastructure rather than coming straight from YouTube. That is the same position LinkToKeep is in, and it is worth knowing when reading the homepage line above. Their privacy policy separately states that their servers log "the IP number, the time of the request, the URL of your request".
Retention
Vidssave’s privacy policy gives no retention period for downloads. It says information is kept "as long as necessary to provide our services to you … and protect our rights", and that data may be transferred and stored in other countries. LinkToKeep states one hour, backed by a five-minute cleanup job and a one-day storage rule.

Where Vidssave is ahead
Ten more language versions and a wider spread of keyword pages per platform. It also lists TikTok, Threads and Dailymotion; LinkToKeep supports Threads but is blocked from TikTok and Dailymotion by the address its servers run on, which the directory says plainly.
