The uploader decides what is available

SoundCloud gives artists direct control: a track can be streamable but have downloads disabled, and that setting is honoured here. Where a track is playable but not downloadable, the extractor works from the stream the player uses, and the result reflects that stream rather than the master the artist uploaded. A track whose owner has restricted access entirely will not resolve at all.

Choosing between the two pages

The general downloader shows the audio formats found for a track and lets you choose. The MP3 page is for when you want that container specifically; the audio is processed into an MP3 after download. Converting cannot recover detail the source stream never carried, so an MP3 made from a compressed stream is not equivalent to the artist’s original file.

Sets, playlists and private links

This release handles one track per job, so submit the individual track URL rather than a set or playlist. Private share links containing a secret token identify content the artist has not made public, and are outside what these tools cover.

Keep the rights question in view

Music is the category where permission matters most and is least often held. Save your own uploads, tracks released for download by the artist, or material you have explicit permission to keep. A track being audible in a browser is not permission to redistribute it.

Questions before you download

Why is a track playable but not downloadable?

The uploader can disable downloads while leaving streaming on, and that setting is respected.

Can I download a full playlist or set?

No. Each job handles a single track, so submit the individual track URL.

Is the MP3 the same quality as the original?

No. It is produced from the stream the extractor can reach, which the platform has already compressed.
