Reels use their own link form
A Reel is shared as a /reel/ address rather than the older watch or video permalink. All of them are accepted, and the share menu inside the app gives you the right one. Copying the address bar from a scrolling feed usually does not, because the feed URL does not name the individual Reel.
Why Facebook Reels fail more often than Facebook videos
Facebook shows a great deal to a signed-in browser that a logged-out server cannot see, and Reels are more aggressively gated than ordinary video posts. If the Reel only plays for you while logged in, it cannot be retrieved here. That is a limit of public access, not a bug to retry around.
Sound, quality and watermarks
The file contains what the post published, including its audio. Facebook often exposes a single combined rendition, so Best available may be the only choice offered. Nothing is added to or removed from the picture.
Know the limits
Downloads are limited to 1 GB, videos to one hour, and galleries to 50 items. Files are available for one hour after completion. Availability is checked for each link; private, login-restricted and DRM-protected media are not supported.

Why does my Facebook Reel link fail?
Most often the Reel is not publicly reachable. Open it in a private browser window: if it asks you to log in, the downloader cannot see it either.
Can I save a Facebook Reel as MP3?
An Audio only · MP3 option appears when the Reel exposes a supported audio stream.
Can I download Facebook stories?
No. Stories are outside this public-post workflow.
How do I copy a Facebook Reel link?
Open the Reel, use its share menu and choose Copy link. A URL copied from the scrolling feed often does not name the individual Reel.
