How to download
- Copy the URL of a public post or video you have permission to save.
- Paste it above and select Get media. Wait for the available formats.
- Choose a format and select Download. When processing finishes, select Save file.
Pick the original post link
Open the post you want to keep and use its sharing menu to copy the link. A profile address is not the same as a specific photo, Reel or carousel link. Remove surrounding chat text before pasting.
Photos, Reels and mixed posts
Photo collections are processed through the gallery adapter when available. Video posts may use the video extractor. A mixed carousel can contain several file types; inspect the ZIP after downloading to see what the platform returned.
Public does not mean always retrievable
Instagram may require a session or refuse automated requests even for a post that opens in your browser. LinkToKeep does not ask for your Instagram password. If the post is restricted, use your own source files or the platform’s account tools.
Know the limits
Downloads are limited to 1 GB, videos to one hour, and galleries to 50 items. Files are available for one hour after completion. Availability is checked for each link; private, login-restricted and DRM-protected media are not supported.
Questions before you download
Does it download private Instagram posts?
No. Private or session-restricted content is not supported.
Do I need an Instagram account here?
No account is required by LinkToKeep. The source post must be accessible to the downloader without a personal session.
Where can I find the saved file?
Check your browser’s Downloads list. A gallery download is a ZIP that you need to extract.
Does an instagram.com/share link work?
Yes. Share links copied from the Instagram app are resolved to the underlying public post before extraction. You can also open the post and copy the address from your browser.
Can I download Instagram videos and photos from one page?
Yes. Inspection detects whether a post holds a video, a single photo or a carousel, and offers the formats that match.
Can I download from an Instagram profile URL?
No. A profile address does not identify a specific post. Open the photo, Reel or carousel you want and paste that link.
Are Instagram stories or highlights supported?
No. Stories and highlights are outside this public-post workflow, as is anything requiring a logged-in session.
